Camp Janet:  Janet and Rick Roberts home where friends and family gather to enjoy great food, drink and fun.  Several years ago, I mentioned to a co-worker that several girlfriends were gathering for an R & R weekend.  Her response was to forever refer to our home as Camp Janet - and it seems to have stuck.

In 2000, I wrote a cookbook for friends and family that included a collection of my favorite recipes at that time.  As a result, I was frequently asked when I was going to publish the sequel.  Instead of publishing a book, I created my first blog http://campjanet.blogstream.com/ to start the process of gathering and printing recipes.  This blog is the next evolution where I can continue to share recipes (and now photos) along with my favorite things.

As you will see, there is a wide range of flavors and styles within this recipe collection as well as the required time and skills to create each dish.  If you’re looking for something quick or something to give you a greater challenge, you’ll find it here.  Just remember that the key point is to have fun in the kitchen.

The recipes are from a variety of sources:  magazines, cookbooks, the internet, family heirlooms, and experimentation.  Where I know the source, I’ll name it.  My apologies in advance to anyone I’ve missed.

It is with all of my favorite fond past and future times in the kitchen and at the table with friends and family that I share these recipes.  May your times at the table with friends and loved ones be as special as mine have been.
